Job summary

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a dedicated SEND Tutor to provide personalised educational support across Sefton. You’ll deliver 1:1 tuition, adapting sessions to the learner’s needs and helping them develop academically, socially and personally.

The ideal candidate will be confident working with learners who may have experienced barriers to education and will be able to create a calm, supportive and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience
• Experience supporting SEMH, Autism, ADHD or other additional needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• QTS or equivalent desirable
• Patient and adaptable approach to learning
