Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEND Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in Clacton, Essex. The role often involves visiting the learner at home, in local libraries, youth centres or other community locations, adapting lessons to individual needs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND.
• Patient, adaptable and encouraging approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• DSB certificate (Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Two professional child-related references.

Responsibilities

• Able to conduct baseline assessments.
• Write lesson plans and adapt resources to needs.
• Build confidence and a positive learning environment.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback.
• Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition for the learner.
