Job summary

Aspire People seeks an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil on a 1:1 basis in Sutton Coldfield. The pupil has suspected ASD and is non-verbal and requires breaks outside the classroom. The role runs from January to July 2027 in a supportive primary school environment.

The successful candidate will hold Level 3 TA qualifications, have SEND 1:1 experience, and a strong command of the EYFS and KS1 curricula, with recent primary school experience.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis.
• Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
• Recent primary school experience within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with suspected ASD in the main classroom, with breaks outside the classroom as needed.
