Job summary

Staining CE Primary School is seeking an experienced teaching assistant to support a child with SEND on a 1:1 basis and assist learning in class. The role is a 12-month temporary post with potential to become permanent, term time only, pro-rata salary.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
• First Aid (Desirable).
• Relevant teaching assistant qualification (Desirable).
• Experience of supporting learning in a primary school.
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with SEND to access learning in the classroom.
• Support learning activities in small groups and individual sessions as detailed in the EHCP.
• Contribute to a positive, safeguarding-focused learning environment.
