Job summary

Spaldwick Primary School in Huntingdon is seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Cerebral Palsy. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to enable access to learning, develop independence and participation in school life.

The role is 30 hours per week, term-time plus two training days, with a permanent contract. You will contribute to an inclusive, caring school environment and be supported in your professional development.

Qualifications

• Have experience of working in a school
• Be passionate about supporting children with special educational needs
• Support the wellbeing of all children with patience and understanding
• Be highly organised and efficient

Responsibilities

• Provide individual support for a pupil with Cerebral Palsy
• Help pupil access learning and participate in school life
• Work with class teacher, SENDCo and parents to meet educational, physical and social needs
