Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment Ltd. is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils in mainstream primary schools across Croydon.

You will provide 1:1 support for assigned pupils, work with SENCOs to meet EHCP targets, and help create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months experience with additional needs, a Level 2 TA qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable), and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Qualifications

At least 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs.
Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable).
Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion.
Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting.
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
Available Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil.
Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation.
Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development.
Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan.
Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
