Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Level 2 and 3 Teaching Assistants to support children with SEND in mainstream primary schools across Lambeth. You will provide 1:1 tailored support and work with class teachers and SENCOs to help pupils reach their potential in an inclusive environment.

We welcome patient, empathetic candidates with experience in SEND. A Level 2/3 TA qualification is desirable and an Enhanced DBS is preferred or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs
• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
• Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
• Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and well-being
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil
• Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Disregulation
• Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development
• Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
