Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting Level 3 Nursery Assistants for Croydon. The roles support Nursery and EYFS pupils, including those with SEND, with 1:1 or small-group assistance.

You will help deliver lessons, support classroom management, and create an inclusive learning environment while collaborating with teachers and support staff. DBS Update Service is preferred, with various part-time to long-term contracts available.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent experience working in a UK primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly in a 1:1 capacity.
• Demonstrate strong communication, patience and adaptability.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support for pupils across Nursery and EYFS.
• Support pupils with mild to moderate SEND, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence in learning.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to monitor pupil progress and well-being.
• Support the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
