Axcis Education is seeking an experienced teaching assistant to support a Year 8 student with severe learning difficulties (SLD). This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September. The successful candidate will support a 12-year-old on the autistic spectrum on a 1:1 basis in a large SEND school in Cheshire East, close to public transport links. The school boasts a supportive team of teachers and support staff. Candidates should be able to build rapport and establish relationships with children, working closely with the student throughout the day. Calmness, compassion, and patience are essential qualities. Experience supporting SEND children and familiarity with PECS are desirable.
