Your new school:

Hays Education is working alongside an SEN primary school in Stockport, seeking Teaching Assistants to join their team as soon as possible. This school is in search of a specialist SEND Teaching Assistant with prior experience in this area, as they need someone who can start immediately. The school is highly regarded, with positive feedback from teachers and parents alike.

Your new role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work on a 1:1 basis with a specific child, focusing on their emotional and wellbeing needs rather than academic activities. This full-time role involves supporting the emotional and social development of the child, helping to manage their mental health, and ensuring their day runs smoothly. You will work closely with the child daily to understand their ways of understanding knowledge.

Working pattern:

Monday–Friday. This role is initially temporary with the potential for permanence based on performance and fit.

Requirements to succeed in your new role:

• Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable)
• Two recent references relevant to the role
• Previous experience with children with SEND (desirable)
• DBS check on the update service (can be arranged through Hays)
