Job summary

Senploy is recruiting on behalf of a large all-through school in Enfield for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with severe needs. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with an immediate start.

The school educates over 1,500 pupils aged 2–18 and is committed to inclusivity, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for pupils with additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and support staff to implement

Qualifications

Previous SEND experience is essential.
Experience supporting pupils with complex or severe needs is highly desirable.
Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to remain calm and proactive in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with severe additional needs.
Support the pupil in accessing learning and classroom activities.
Implement individual support strategies in line with EHCP targets and school guidance.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider support staff.
Support the pupil's communication, engagement, and independence.
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to staff.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
