Job summary

Axcis Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with ADHD and SEMH in a mainstream primary school in Patchway, Bristol. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support, help manage emotions, and build confidence and independence in learning.

The role requires patience, resilience and the ability to work closely with teachers and the SENCO to create a calm, inclusive classroom environment. Term-time hours and full-time availability may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with ADHD or SEMH.
• Patient, calm and resilient under pressure.
• Ability to build strong relationships with primary pupils.
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Support emotional regulation and engagement with learning.
• Assist the class teacher and SENCO as needed.
• Create a calm, inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor progress and adapt activities to pupil needs.
