Job summary

Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream secondary school in the United Kingdom. You will support a Year 11 student with ASD and SEMH needs, helping him engage with lessons and access the curriculum. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, as a temporary position.

Experience in ASD/SEMH support and a patient, confident approach are essential. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required. Salary will reflect skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting students with ASD/SEMH is essential.
• Experience in mainstream secondary setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to Year 11 student with ASD/SEMH in lessons.
• Help the student engage with learning and access the curriculum.
• Attend DBS/compliance checks as required.
• Maintain a calm, supportive classroom environment.
