Job summary

Guilsborough Academy in Northamptonshire is seeking a dedicated Nursery/SEND support assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with an EHCP, helping them access the curriculum and build independence. You will work under the guidance of the Nursery Lead and SENCO, delivering personalised strategies to remove barriers to learning and support social, emotional, and academic development.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND and working in early years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a SEND child on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to enable curriculum access.
• Implement interventions as directed, promoting independence and social development.
• Communicate with parents and carers to support consistency between home and school.
• Support safeguarding practices in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
• Prepare learning resources and assist with displays and lesson prep.
