Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide support and scaffolding for children to access the curriculum and be challenged in their learning.
• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a named child with SEND, including small group work as needed.
• Run interventions under the direction of the teacher, including provisions from EHCPs.
• Provide sensitive, person-centred support for pupils' self-care needs, maintaining dignity and independence.
• Support inclusion in whole class activities, break times and school events.
• Assist with preparing resources for lessons and creating high quality displays.
• Communicate effectively with the class teacher and feedback on the children you have worked with.
• Build positive, professional relationships with parents, staff and pupils.
• Work as part of a team to ensure children are supported and safeguarding practices are followed.
