Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a One to One Tutor to support primary and secondary learners in Manchester through personalised 1:1 tuition. You will work with Local Authorities to provide targeted support enabling pupils to access learning and build confidence.

The role offers flexible hours, a September start, and the chance to make a lasting impact on education during key developmental years. Prior experience and DBS clearance are valued.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
  • Experience supporting primary-aged children
  • Good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
  • SEN experience desirable
  • Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Patient, positive, and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire

One to One Tutor - Help Young Learners Build Confidence and Thrive

We're looking for a One to One Tutor to support primary and secondary aged children across Manchester through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, youll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision or additional help to access learning. Many pupils benefit from a patient, nurturing approach that helps develop core skills, increase confidence, and encourage positive engagement with education.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young learners and make a lasting impact during an important stage of their educational journey.

  • Location: East Manchester
  • Key Stages: KS1 to KS4
  • Start Date: September
  • Hours: Flexible
  • Pay Rate: GBP25-GBP30 per hour
  • Type: 1:1 Tuition
