Job summary

Tp-Tutors is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor to provide personalised support in the L23 Merseyside area during school hours on weekdays. The role focuses on core subjects such as English, Maths and Science, helping students with SEN to build confidence and re-engage with learning.

You will tailor lessons, monitor progress, and maintain records while working with families and professionals to support each learner's goals.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience within the UK.
Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and core subjects.
Ability to deliver personalised and differentiated learning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
Support students in core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties.
Plan and deliver personalised lessons that promote engagement and progress.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
Build positive and supportive relationships with students, families, and relevant professionals.
Encourage student confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
