Job summary

Long Term Futures are seeking an experienced and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in Halesowen. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils across KS1 and KS2 with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.

Working closely with the SENCO and class teachers, you will help pupils access learning, regulate emotions and develop confidence and independence, while adhering to safeguarding and DBS requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience providing 1:1 SEN support within a primary or specialist setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD and/or ADHD.
• Experience working with children with complex needs.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.
• Enhanced DBS check and two references required.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 SEN support to pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Support pupils with ASD, ADHD and complex additional needs.
• Assist non-verbal pupils and those with speech and language needs.
• Adapt activities to individual learning and communication needs.
• Support emotional and behavioural regulation and positive relationships.
• Work with teachers, the SENCO and other professionals to deliver consistent support.
