Job summary

Teaching Personnel is hiring a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time 1:1 support role at a welcoming primary school in Firswood, Manchester, starting September 2026. You will work closely with the teacher, SENDCo and family to implement tailored strategies and promote inclusion.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 TA qualification and prior experience supporting children with SEN, including ASC, ADHD, Speech and Language needs or SEMH.

Qualifications

• Essential Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience supporting children with SEN within a school setting.
• Strong communication, empathy and relationship-building skills.
• Solid safeguarding knowledge and child protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN throughout the day.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and encourage independence.
• Support academic, social and behavioural development in line with EHCPs.
• Collaborate with staff, SEND team, and parents to monitor progress.
• Record observations and contribute to progress reviews.
