1:1 SEN Support Assistant Overview

We are seeking a compassionate team member to be employed as a full time 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide personalised support to a highly academic pupil with global developmental delay. The successful candidate will work closely with the student to ensure they can fully engage with our all-round education package and reach their full potential.

1:1 SEN Support Assistant Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to the pupil during lessons and activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the pupil's Individualised Education Plan (IEP).
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes the pupil's social skills and emotional well‑being.
  • Facilitate participation in school activities and extracurricular programs.
  • Commuting to Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, Mon Friday 08 00.
1:1 SEN Support Assistant Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of global developmental delays and learning differences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
