Job summary

Flourish Education are working with a wonderful Primary School in Stourbridge, Dudley area, seeking a Learning Support Assistant to start in February for the rest of the academic year. This is a full-time, classroom-based role supporting a Year 2 pupil on a 1:1 basis with the class teacher.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, SEN experience, strong behaviour management, and be able to build trusting relationships with pupils.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
• Experience with SEN pupils in a Primary school or SEN setting.
• Be familiar with strategies to manage challenging behaviours.
• Able to build strong, trusting relationships with children.
• Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 1.
• DBS update service or issued in last 12 months.
• Two excellent references.

Responsibilities

• Support a Year 2 pupil on a 1:1 basis in a full-time classroom setting.
• Work closely with the class teacher to maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
