Job summary

Flourish Education is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a supportive primary school in Worcester. The role is 1:1 with a Year 1 pupil, full-time, starting asap until Christmas with potential extension. You will work with the class team to help the pupil access learning and feel settled in the classroom.

The ideal candidate has SEN TA experience, a calm, nurturing approach, and relevant Level 2/3 qualifications. DBS Update Service is desirable and two references are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant with SEN in primary settings.
• Experience providing 1:1 support to primary-aged pupils.
• Calm, patient, nurturing approach; strong relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil in the classroom.
• Support pupil access to learning and participation in activities.
• Build positive relationships and support emotional wellbeing.
• Promote independence and engagement with learning.
• Collaborate with class teacher and school team to meet needs.
