Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College is seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant in SEN on a temporary contract. The role is based primarily at the Worcester campus with potential to travel to other campuses.

It involves supporting learners with diverse needs, maintaining records, and contributing to safeguarding and inclusion. Starting salary is £12,937.48–£13,372.13 per annum for 24 hours per week across 36 weeks, with progression possible within the salary band.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with special educational needs.
• Ability to provide one-to-one and group support.
• Willingness to travel to other campuses as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality one-to-one and group learning support.
• Support learners with a wide range of needs including autistic spectrum and learning difficulties.
• Work with tutors to identify support needs and monitor progress.
• Promote attendance, engagement and achievement in learning activities.
• Assist with recruitment, enrolment, assessments, and initial diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate records of learner support and interventions.
• Support safeguarding, welfare, equality, health and safety of learners.
