Job summary

Academics are seeking a compassionate, dedicated and resilient 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Worcester. You will provide tailored, one-to-one support to a pupil with special educational needs to help access the curriculum and thrive in a mainstream setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with SEND, with ASD experience being highly desirable. Enhanced DBS is required or can be applied for through Academics; salary aligns with

Qualifications

• Strong background in supporting children with additional learning needs.
• Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) is advantageous.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS (or already held).

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated academic, social and emotional support to a pupil with SEN.
• Adapt classroom activities and learning materials under direction of the class teacher and SENCO.
• Implement positive behavior support strategies to promote emotional regulation and focus.
• Support the pupil to access the curriculum within a mainstream classroom.
