Job summary

St Martin's Church of England Infant School is seeking a Specific 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a child in EYFS within a classroom setting. The role involves 1:1 support, promoting engagement, and working under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.

The candidate will deliver a bespoke programme with safeguarding and teamwork at the core, contributing to a caring, inclusive environment. The post is term-time, with 30 hours per week, and a pro rata salary.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Experience working with children.
• Ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
• DBS on the update service or willingness to complete a new one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs.
• Support the pupil with daily routines, learning, and self-care.
• Record, report, and monitor behaviour and learning progress.
• Work with teachers, the SENDCo, and external specialists.
• Adhere to safeguarding and school policies.
