Job summary

PK Education Limited is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to help pupils with SEMH in Leeds primary and specialist settings. You will work closely with teachers to support learning and behaviour in and out of the classroom.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children or young people, strong behaviour management, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You will build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model, providing consistent support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (school, PRU, care or youth work).
• Confident managing challenging behaviour.
• Calm, patient and resilient under pressure.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour.
• Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom.
• Building positive relationships and acting as a consistent role model.
