Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group in Lewisham is seeking a Behaviour Mentor for a large primary school. You will provide 1:1 support to a child with challenging behaviour, helping them stay calm and engaged, and work closely with teachers to implement strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour.
• Experience with SEMH/additional needs is advantageous.
• Restraint/positive handling training or relevant physical intervention qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child throughout the school day.
• Help the child regulate emotions and stay engaged with learning.
• Build a positive, trusting relationship to support re-entry into the classroom.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies.
