Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in a Salford primary school. You will provide 1-to-1 support for a Year 3 pupil displaying challenging behaviour, helping engagement and learning while collaborating with the class teacher.

The role begins in October and is full-time. The school offers a supportive environment, OFSTED Good rating, and ongoing CPD via the My-Progression channel.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour.
• Confidence providing 1-to-1 support within the classroom.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Patient, resilient and supportive approach.

Responsibilities

• Build a positive relationship with the child and support engagement in learning.
• Manage behaviour effectively while working closely with the class teacher.
