Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in a Salford primary school. You will provide 1-to-1 support for a Year 3 pupil displaying challenging behaviour, helping engagement and learning while collaborating with the class teacher.

The role begins in October and is full-time. The school offers a supportive environment, OFSTED Good rating, and ongoing CPD via the My-Progression channel.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Salary: £92.63 - £110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a small, welcoming primary school based in Salford, which has been rated Good by OFSTED.

The school provides a supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop both academically and personally.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant from October on a long-term, full-time basis, providing 1-to-1 support for a child in Year 3 who displays challenging behaviour.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to build a positive relationship with the child, support their engagement in learning and manage behaviour effectively while working closely with the class teacher.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting
• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
• Confidence providing 1-to-1 support within the classroom
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and supportive approach
• A can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in

The ideal candidate will also hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
