Job summary

Educate GM LTD is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3-6 class in Moston, Manchester from September 2026. This full-time, long-term role offers dedicated consultant support and access to CPD opportunities, with weekly pay.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar classroom support role, and may have SEN/SEMH experience. A Level 3 TA qualification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar classroom support role.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN/SEMH) is advantageous but not essential.
• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom management and lesson delivery.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils who need extra help with their learning.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons.
• Support pupils' confidence, independence and social skills.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
• Prepare learning resources and materials under the teacher's direction.
• Support pupils' emotional and social development.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and feed back to the class teacher.
