Job summary

Prince Avenue Academy and Nursery is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEND and provide general classroom assistance. Experience with specific learning needs is desirable and the role offers opportunities for professional development within a supportive team.

The successful candidate will work under teaching staff, promote inclusive learning, and help pupils with literacy, numeracy, and social welfare matters while maintaining safeguarding commitments.

• Promote the inclusion of children with SEND both within the classroom and during non class-based learning, ensuring access to learning through appropriate clarification, explanation and resources.
• Help children with social, welfare and health matters.

The position will focus on providing support to children with SEND as well as providing general classroom support so experience of working with children with specific learning needs is desirable.
