Job summary

Protocol Education is partnering with a warm, inclusive primary school in Southend-on-Sea to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for a high-needs pupil in a mainstream classroom.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and support staff to enable emotional, social and academic development, building trust and positive relationships with the pupil. The role offers ongoing CPD and a possibility of permanency for the right candidate.

• Experience supporting children with SEND or high-needs pupils.
• Empathetic, patient and able to stay calm under pressure.

Protocol Education is working with a warm, inclusive primary school in Southend-on-Sea seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a high-needs pupil within a mainstream classroom setting.

The Role

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with additional needs.
• Help the pupil access learning and engage positively within the classroom.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team.

• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.

• Has previous experience supporting children with SEND or high-needs pupils.
