Protocol Education is seeking caring 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to work in mainstream primary schools across Southwark. Flexible daily supply and long-term placements provide variety while making a positive impact on a child's learning journey.

You will support pupils one-to-one, help access the curriculum, and work with teachers and SEN staff to promote inclusion and progress. DBS checks and proper training are required.

Responsibilities

We are seeking enthusiastic 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to work within welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary schools across Southwark. With both daily supply and long-term opportunities available, this role offers flexibility while providing the chance to make a meaningful impact on a child's educational journey.

The Role

As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils requiring additional assistance.
  • Help children access the curriculum and engage positively in lessons.
  • Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and resilience in learning.
  • Adapt support strategies to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
