Job summary

Finstall First School is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant (TA2) for a fixed-term, EHCP-funded 1:1 role in KS1. The post is 25 hours 25 minutes per week during term time, with potential extension subject to funding. The successful candidate will provide focused support to a pupil, work with families and collaborate with school staff to enable learning and development.

The role emphasises safeguarding, teamwork, and flexibility to meet the pupil’s needs during school hours and INSET days.

Qualifications

• 1:1 specialist support for a pupil with EHCP.
• Ability to build positive relationships with child, parents and staff.
• Term-time only with confirmation of working pattern and INSET days.
• Commitment to safeguarding and school ethos.

Responsibilities

• Provide focused 1:1 support for a pupil with Cognition and Learning needs.
• Support learning activities and classroom routines alongside teaching staff.
• Attend specified INSET days and adhere to term-time schedule.
