Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated primary teacher to support a Reception child on a 1:1 basis in a Bristol school after half term.

You'll work with the class teacher and support team, using play-based activities to develop early communication, phonics, and maths, building confidence and routines in a nurturing environment.

The role offers a long-term placement with weekly PAYE pay at £92–£95 per day, flexible hours, and CPD access through Protocol Education.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching within EYFS or Key Stage 1.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEND, or willingness to develop these skills.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children, staff and families.
• Confidence delivering and adapting learning to meet individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support a Reception-aged child on a 1:1 basis.
• Tailor learning through engaging, play-based activities.
• Develop early communication, phonics and mathematical understanding.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider support team.
