Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting a Teaching Assistant with a focus on 1:1 behaviour support in North Manchester. The role supports two Year 6 pupils across the school day, requiring calm, consistent approaches and strong communication with the school team.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, apply behaviour strategies, and adapt support to each pupil’s needs while promoting emotional regulation and positive engagement.

Qualifications

• Challenging behaviour awareness and management.
• Experience supporting SEND/SEMH learners is advantageous.
• Ability to regulate emotions in challenging situations.
• Experience delivering 1:1 pupil support in a school setting.
• Understanding of behaviour intervention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to two Year 6 pupils throughout the school day.
• Support pupils to manage emotions and stay settled in class.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt support to individual needs.
• Build positive relationships with staff and peers and follow school routines.
