Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant or Behaviour Support Assistant to support two Year 6 pupils at a partnered primary school in North Manchester. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support, help pupils regulate emotions, and enable access to learning throughout the school day.

Relationship-building is central: establish trust, maintain clear expectations, and respond calmly to challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience or transferable skills in SEND and SEMH support.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with patience and consistency.
• Proven skills in emotional regulation and supporting pupils in transitions.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Help pupils regulate their emotions and access learning.
• Support classroom engagement and maintain positive behaviour.
• Build trust and supportive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
