Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work with two Year 6 pupils in a North Manchester school. The role requires calm, patient support, emotional regulation, and a commitment to consistent boundaries throughout the day.

Applicants with experience in behaviour support, SEND/SEMH, youth work, sports coaching, or mentoring will be welcomed. This is a full-time, long-term position with ongoing school-based opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEND/SEMH pupils in an education setting.
• Ability to provide dedicated 1:1 support to two pupils throughout the school day.
• Calm, patient, resilient, and able to build trusting relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to two Year 6 pupils, helping them access learning and stay engaged.
• Support pupils to regulate emotions, follow routines, and build confidence.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to maintain consistency and boundaries.
• Adapt approach to individual pupil needs and contribute to a positive, relationship-led environment.
