Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting for an enthusiastic 1:1 Autism Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND provision in Ferryhill. You'll provide dedicated support to one pupil, helping them overcome barriers to learning while developing communication, confidence and independence.

This is a full-time, term-time only role running 8:30am–3:30pm, with pay at £98–£120 per day dependent on experience. Experience supporting autistic children is desirable; DBS checks and safeguarding training are

• Experience supporting autistic children is desirable.
• DBS checks and safeguarding training are required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering consistent 1:1 assistance.
• Supporting learning and classroom engagement.
• Helping with routines and transitions between activities.
• Encouraging communication and interaction.
• Communicating observations to teaching staff and SEND team.
