Desian Education is partnering with a single-form entry primary school in Winsford to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 ASD pupil in Year 3. You will support the pupil throughout the school day, liaising with parents and staff, and use targeted strategies such as Now & Next, sensory breaks and regulation techniques to sustain engagement and progress, in a nurturing and challenging environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified teaching assistant with ASD experience.
• Experience supporting a pupil 1:1 in a primary setting.
• Ability to manage PDA-related behaviours and disengagement.

Responsibilities

• Support the pupil 1:1 throughout the school day and liaise with parents/guardians on progress.
• Use Now & Next, sensory breaks and regulation strategies to manage triggers and escalation points.
• Deliver pupil-led curriculum activities and incorporate the pupil's interests to promote engagement.
