With yearly growth rates in the double digits, the company has been undergoing a deep transformation to adapt to the requirements of a growing and global business. In this context, we are expanding our legal team to include expertise in Corporate, Risk & Insurance, and Real Estate to support our ongoing growth.
The Position
As a Corporate, Risk & Insurance, and Real Estate Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining statutory registers, overseeing insurance policies, and managing real estate processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Company secretary
- Maintaining statutory registers for subsidiaries worldwide
- Ensuring timely updates and filings in trade registries
- Preparing documentation for board meetings, including draft materials
- Overseeing and coordinating business insurance policies, including budgeting, forecasting, and renewals
- Reviewing contracts with a focus on insurance clauses
- Communicating with insurance brokers, managing policies and claims
- Reviewing loss reports and collaborating on action plans
- Staying updated on insurance industry trends and products
- Supporting data gathering for annual insurance renewals
- Negotiating with brokers on terms and premiums
- Handling real estate transactions: leases, renewals, amendments, subleases, early terminations, and sales
- Optimizing real estate assets through metrics and KPI development
- Developing governance methodologies for leased facilities
Experience, Skills, and Educational Background
- A strong academic background in civil and business law
- At least 5 years of experience in corporate law, risk management, insurance, and real estate
- Experience handling corporate legal matters, contracts, and compliance
- Negotiation and drafting expertise in real estate and insurance contracts
- Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Experience in multinational or matrix organizations is preferred
- Fluent in French and English
