The Role

As our Interior Designer, you will bring Akura’s design vision to life through thoughtfully crafted interiors that align with our brand, client preferences, and sustainability goals.

You will work closely with our architecture, procurement, and construction teams to design spaces that are functional, beautiful, and tailored to both our client lifestyle and the villa rental market. From concept development to final styling, you will oversee every detail, ensuring the highest standards of quality and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Concept & Design Development

Develop interior concepts for Akura Villas projects, aligned with brand standards and project briefs

Create mood boards, color palettes, material selections, and furnishing layouts

Present design concepts and revisions to the Head of Design, CEO, and clients when required

Integrate sustainable and locally sourced materials where possible

Project Coordination

Collaborate with architects, procurement managers, and contractors to ensure design intent is carried through

Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules for all interior elements

Coordinate the procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) with the
procurement team

Oversee installation and final styling to ensure a flawless finish

Quality & Brand Alignment

Maintain Akura’s design identity across all projects while tailoring to specific client needs

Source innovative, high-quality products and finishes that balance durability, aesthetics, and cost

Ensure all interiors meet European-quality standards and rental market requirements

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Participate in client meetings to capture preferences and feedback

Work with the sales and marketing team to provide design visuals for presentations and marketing materials

Support the “We Care” initiative by incorporating sustainable practices into every design decision

What You Bring

Experience: 5 years as an Interior Designer, preferably in high-end residential, hospitality, or luxury real estate

Portfolio: Demonstrated ability to deliver stylish, functional, and well-detailed interiors

Skills: Strong design sensibility, material knowledge, and project coordination skills

Technical: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite

Knowledge: Familiarity with sustainable design and tropical climate considerations

Soft Skills: Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities

Passion: A love for great design, quality craftsmanship, and creating spaces with
purpose
