Job description

Company Description

We employ up to 120 staff each season which gives Alpine Elements a unique advantage in offering the chance to work summer or winter and, if visa restrictions allow, back-to-back seasonal opportunities. With a variety of positions available, we are the perfect company to choose whether you are looking for a career progression or a one-off seasonal experience.

We are fully compliant with all immigration laws; therefore we welcome all nationalities to apply that have an EU passport, a right to work in France in the form of a CDS, or are from a country where you can obtain a visa that doesn't require a work permit. The majority of our guests are from the UK, therefore it is compulsory that all applicants are fluent in English to be considered for a position.

We are an active company, and we whole heartedly encourage our staff to get involved in mountain activities. Regardless of whether you are new to a sport, or a seasoned pro, we are confident you will find a home in France. We offer an encouraging environment for all levels of experience in a company where we actively look to promote from within.

Our recruitment process is designed to see the person behind the CV. Our personal approach enables us to achieve your goal of working a season, and making the most of that season, whilst delivering excellent guest service. We are looking for passionate applicants who can balance a demanding position whilst maintaining a good work/life balance.

Together we will ensure you will find & be in your element.

Position

We are currently fully staffed for host roles for the season.

However, we do expect staff to drop out both before the season starts, and during, so we will be seeking friendly, proactive, and highly organised hosts to join our current standby list for the current winter season. If you were unable to commit to a full season, or have yet to find a position then we welcome you to apply. This could lead to a last-minute opportunity for someone who is ready to jump straight in and deliver outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced alpine environment.

As an Alpine Elements Host, you'll play a key part in creating a welcoming, enjoyable experience for our guests. Depending on the position, your responsibilities may include:

  • Servicing guest bedrooms and communal areas
  • Preparing and/or serving meals (breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening service)
  • Providing warm, attentive customer service
  • Supporting hygiene standards and stock control
  • Helping ensure smooth daily operations in chalets or hotels

Whether you're cooking in a chalet setting or assisting with meal service in a hotel, you'll bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for good hospitality and the mountains.

We operate in Morzine, Meribel, Tignes and La Plagne.
