Utility Billing Manager

The City of Fredericksburg is accepting applications for a Utility Billing Manager. Under administrative direction of the Director of Finance, this position supervises the Utility Billing department, which includes three Utility Account Analysts. The Utility Billing Manager is responsible for preparation and management of all utility billing accounts, including, but not limited to, maintaining customer information, service changes, meter change outs, and rate changes; also, prepares service orders, and prepares and enters adjustments to utility accounts. This position is responsible for generating monthly utility bills, past due bills, and final bills. Additional duties include collecting readings from automated meter server and making corrections and adjustments as needed; prepares non-payment disconnect listing and other various reports.

Qualifications include high school diploma, or equivalent, five years of supervisory experience and three years of utility billing experience.
