Airbus Helicopters SAS in Marignane invites a Transmission System Stress Engineer (m/f) to join the Design Office. You will apply advanced FEM methods to ensure the safety and reliability of transmission components across our rotorcraft, from H160 to Racer, and contribute to certification substantiations.

The role requires 5 years of mechanical analysis experience, expertise in Samcef, and strong knowledge of fatigue, crack propagation, and aviation standards.

Qualifications

• Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
• Experience: 5 years in mechanical part analysis (metallic materials, static & fatigue).
• Proven experience with FEM (Samcef).
• Static and fatigue analysis.
• Experience in crack propagation or fatigue testing is a plus.
• Aviation authorities / Certification knowledge is a plus.
• Good relationship; autonomy, team spirit, rigour.
• Advanced French and English required.

Responsabilités

• Define and validate transmission system analyses, including correlation of Samcef models with tests.
• Defend substantiation documents to international aviation authorities.
• Lead methodological improvements for next‑gen rotorcraft analysis.
• Collaborate with design teams and certification bodies to ensure compliance.
