Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Transmission System Stress Engineer to join the Design Office in Marignane, France. You will safeguard dynamic systems through rigorous static and fatigue analyses and certification support for aviation authorities.

You will lead methodological improvements as the team evolves its tooling. Ideally, you bring 5 years of mechanical analysis experience, a degree in mechanical engineering, and fluency in French and English to collaborate across international teams.

Qualifications

  • Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
  • 5 years in mechanical part analysis (Metallic materials, RDM, Static & Fatigue).
  • Proven experience with FEM (Samcef).
  • Static and fatigue analysis.
  • Experience in crack propagation or fatigue testing is a plus.
  • Aviation authorities / Certification knowledge is a plus.
  • Good relationship; Autonomy, Team spirit, Rigour.
  • Language Skills: Advanced French & Advanced English.

Responsabilités

  • Beyond the Screen: you validate; define and follow-up on flight tests or laboratory tests to correlate Samcef models.
  • Certification Authority: defend substantiation documents to international aviation authorities.
  • Methodology Leader: help evolve calculation methods for the next generation of rotorcraft.

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Transmission System Stress Engineer (m/f) to join the Design Office based in Marignane, France.

Your future missions:

In the world of vertical flight, some components simply cannot fail. As part of our Transmission System Engineering team, you aren't just running numbers; you are the guardian of "Catastrophic Failure" components.

From the H160 to the record-breaking Racer, you will be the technical authority ensuring our dynamic systems withstand the most extreme flight envelopes.

Your Challenge
  • Beyond the Screen: You don’t just simulate; you validate. You define and follow-up on flight tests or laboratory tests to correlate your Samcef models.
  • Certification Authority: You are the voice of Airbus Helicopters when defending substantiation documents to international aviation authorities.
  • Methodology Leader: You won’t just use existing tools; you will help evolve our calculation methods for the next generation of rotorcraft.
Your Profil:

We are looking for a 'Mechanical Mindset' rather than just a software operator:

  • Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience: 5 years in mechanical part analysis (Metallic materials, RDM, Static & Fatigue).
