Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Tech Lead – Payments and Billing in France for a remote-first, high-impact role shaping a next-generation payments infrastructure.

You will lead a Payments squad, own delivery outcomes, and drive architectural direction to scale processing, reduce costs, and improve reliability while mentoring engineers and collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or equivalent with ownership of a team’s delivery and engineering standards.
• Balance hands-on coding with coaching and developing engineers.
• Experience establishing engineering practices and managing cross-team dependencies from the ground up.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence engineers, product stakeholders, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall delivery outcomes of the Payments squad with strong engineering standards.
• Set technical and architectural direction for payments to scale for future volume and reliability.
• Lead via technical specifications, architecture reviews, and hands-on implementation.
• Solve complex technical problems while maintaining a long-term technical vision.
• Establish the squad’s operating model balancing speed, quality, resilience, and maintainability.
• Drive improvements in payment accuracy and processing efficiency to reduce transaction costs.
• Diagnose throughput issues and implement structural improvements.
• Coach junior engineers and raise technical quality and development speed.
