Wärtsilä, a leader in marine and energy technologies, seeks a Contract Manager to oversee complex contracts across international projects. You will manage contracts end-to-end, develop strategies, and support cross-functional teams to optimize profitability and compliance in a defence-oriented environment.

Ideal candidates bring proven contract management experience in the military/defence sector, fluency in French and English, and strong MS Office skills to support reporting and governance

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contract Manager in a complex industrial environment.
• Mandatory experience in the military and/or defence sector.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and international project teams.
• Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle from analysis to financial follow-up.
• Develop and implement the contractual strategy for assigned projects.
• Establish and maintain contract management and reporting tools.
• Advise operational teams on contract terms and conditions.
• Monitor and report on customer interactions and contractual matters.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation actions.
• Assess project changes and contractual implications to protect profitability.
• Drive initiatives to improve contract performance and security.
• Ensure contractual deviations are addressed, including financial impacts.
• Contribute to contract amendments and negotiations.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
