Job summary

Takara Bio Europe seeks a Product Development Scientist, Stem Cell, to drive cell culture media development for stem cell and ATMP applications. You will work hands-on in an industrial R&D setting, managing multiple projects, developing assays, and ensuring data integrity.

You will collaborate across Development, Quality and external partners, contribute to technology transfer, and help establish SOPs and workflows in a Genopole Évry laboratory with occasional travel to Takara locations.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in life sciences with wet-lab and data analysis experience.
• 2+ years in biotechnology or related industry wet lab work.
• Strong background in cell culture, especially mammalian systems.
• Experience combining biology with bioinformatics or quantitative analysis.
• Experience in regulated or quality-driven product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of cell culture media and related assays from concept to transfer.
• Plan laboratory studies, develop and optimize cell-based and analytical assays.
• Ensure rigorous experimental design, data integrity and documentation.
• Summarise results and present to internal stakeholders and external forums.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners; support tech transfer.
• Support regulatory deliverables and potential IP-related tasks.
