Job summary

Rivercell seeks a senior lab leader to establish and operate its Paris laboratory, delivering high‑quality single-cell and genomics datasets for AI model training. You will manage a small team of biologists and work closely with the CSO, ML scientists, and data engineers to translate study plans into reliable, repeatable experiments.

You will build lab infrastructure, recruit and train staff, and ensure safety, compliance, and timely data delivery across external partners and in-house workflows.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, functional genomics, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 7+ years of industry experience delivering cell-based studies or genomics workflows in CRO/pharma/biotech.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, lentiviral transduction, pooled CRISPR screening (CRISPRi/CRISPRa/knockout), and single-cell RNA-seq prep.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run Rivercell's Paris laboratory, delivering experimental datasets for AI model training and evaluation.
• Lead a small biology team, ensuring data quality, throughput, and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with CSO, ML scientists, bioinformatics data engineer, and platform team to translate study plans into executable protocols and workflows.
